Shuttle Services

There will be a shuttle service provided the day of the wedding with two shuttles. Shuttle services are required to get to The Botanical Gardens as parking is extremely limited.

Getting to the Ceremony: Shuttle 1 + 2
On the way to the venue all shuttles will pick up from The Marriott Hotel (exact time coming) and arrive at the Ceremony at 2:15.

Getting to the Reception: Shuttle 1 Back to the Hotel
After the Ceremony which will end around 3:30, one shuttle will leave immediately and take guests back to the hotel to freshen up or change. It will linger and leave to go to the Reception at 4:30 (exact time TBD)

Getting to the Reception: Shuttle 2 Directly to Reception
The second shuttle will linger at the Ceremony venue until 4:15 (exact time TBD) and take guests directly to the reception venue. Guests taking family portraits or that want to walk around and explore the gardens should plan to take this shuttle.

Everyone can pick which shuttle they want to take.

Getting Back to the Hotel
There will be a shuttle going back and forth between the reception venue and hotel all evening, and a final call at 10:00pm when the reception ends.

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at The Oakland Marriott City Center, and shuttle service will go from there to both venues. The Terrace Room is a 1-mile city walk to and from the hotel.

Rideshare

UC Berkeley Botanical Garden has requested for our guests not to use ride share apps. Why? Because it’s Berkeley. 🙄 If you do use rideshare, please do it discretely, as in not directly outside of the entrance.

Rideshare apps are welcome at all other venues.

Traveling by car

READ THIS, srsly: We only have 5 parking spots for our entire party, including us, so we recommend you DO NOT drive to the Ceremony, and instead use the shuttle service or discretely use a ride share app. Advanced parking passes required at the Botanical Garden, please reach out to Danielle and Heidi to reserve one.

Street parking will be available at The Terrace Room.

Street parking will be available at The New Parkway.

Traveling by plane

Oakland Airport (OAK) is ~30 min drive from our neighborhood.

San Francisco Airport (SFO) is ~60 min drive from our neighborhood.

Public Transit

The Botanical Gardens is not easily accessible by public transit.

from SFO:
Take any train to 12th st. Oakland BART Station, which is a 5 minute walk from The Oakland Marriott City Center, and a 15 min walk to The Terrace Room.

from OAK:
Take the Richmond line towards Richmond to 12th St. Oakland BART Station, which is a 5 minute walk from The Oakland Marriott City Center, and a 15 min walk to The Terrace Room.
